Alabama students must pass the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AGHE) in order to graduate. Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AGHE) was designed based on Alabama’s 4X4 curriculum, four years of each required course study in four subjects. Alabama requires 24 credits and passing of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AGHE) to graduate. The exam is put in place to ensure the students grasp on the high school core coursework.
