California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)


The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is two-part comprehensive exam is designed to ensure that students graduating can demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics, in order to receive a diploma. The exam is graded out of a possible 450 points in both sections. There is also an essay for the English Language-Arts section which is graded out of one to four. The English section is at a 10th grade level and requires a 60% to pass, and Mathematics is at an 8th grade level and required grade is a 55% to pass.
