Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT)


The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) measures student performance on selected benchmarks in reading, math, writing and science. It is based on the challenging content of the Sunshine State Standards and is administered to students in grades 3-11. The FCAT has a grading scale of 1-5 performance levels, with 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. The science section is only given to grades 5, 8, and 11. The science section has its own appropriate grading scale for each grade level ranging from 100-500.
