The Michigan Merit Examination (MME) is based on three different parts. The first being ACT Plus Writing college entrance examination, the Work Keys Job Skills Assessment in Reading, Math, and Locating Information, and Michigan developed assessments in Math, Science, and Social Studies. The Michigan Merit Examination (MME) is administered to 11th graders and eligible 12th graders. The combined Michigan Merit Examination (MME) measures student learning in Michigan High School standards, benchmarks, and core content expectations. The goal for all students is to be above proficient level on the Michigan Merit Examination (MME). The scoring scale for the Michigan Merit Examination (MME) ranges from 950-1250 on all subjects. The cut score for “Met Michigan Standards” is an 1100 in all subjects.
