Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA)


The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is a state test that measures students’ progress toward standards. All public school students in grades 3-8 must take the reading and math Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA). Students in grade 10 take the reading Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA). Students in grade 11 take the math Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) once again. The science Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is given to students in grades 5, 8, and again in high school. The scoring for the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is letter based, E-Exceeds, M-Meets Standards, P-Partially Meets Standards, and D-Does Not Meet Standards. The number score for the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is 501-599.
