Nevada High School Proficiency Examination


The Nevada High School Proficiency Examination consists of two assessments efforts; administration of a nationally normed test to grades 3, 6, and 9, and the testing of 11th graders in Reading, Science, Writing and Mathematics. It is required that students must pass all three assessments in the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination to receive a high school diploma. To pass the Writing portion of the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination the student must receive a score of 7. To pass the Reading portion of the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination students must receive a scale score of 251. To pass the Mathematics portion of the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination the student must receive a scale score of 304. To pass the Science portion of the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination the student must receive a 300.
